Book Review: Waiting to Forget by Sheila Kelly Welch

Title: Waiting to Forget
Author: Sheila Kelly Welch
Published by: Namelos

My Rating: ✭✭✭✭✩

Waiting to Forget by Sheila Kelly Welch was a great book, and I couldn’t stop reading it once I started! Very well written, the characters were lovable and relatable. T.J. and his sister, Angela, have been through their share of troubles, mostly with their mother’s strange boyfriends. But now they’re adopted in a new family—and Angela is in the hospital, unconscious. As T.J. waits anxiously for her to wake up, he shows us his past life, in segments of “Now,” “Then,” and “Between.” It was short but sweet, and I will definitely be rereading it in the future. It was a more mature read, so I would recommend it to anyone ages 12 and over.
